Regarding content:
We believe in preserving all YYH doujinshi and content, and sharing it, regardless of its actual themes. Therefore, we will have artwork featured here that includes things such as dubcon, noncon, incest, violence, murder, torture, and child maltreatment. We believe fiction is fiction and that responsible consumption of said fiction is on the reader. If you are unable to handle the themes present in these posts, then please leave the website.
To avoid those posts, simply check the post’s tags. There will always be a tag if it is nsfw, dubcon (dubious consent), noncon (nonconsensual, aka sexual assault), or any other major trigger.
Regarding “Posting” doujinshi and Copyright:
We believe that artwork should be freely shared and that it is legal to do so in the USA, where we are located, as long as we do not profit from said sharing. Any actual money donated to our website goes to a fund for upkeep, and none of it goes to benefit any of the administrators. Additionally, as most of these doujinshi are in Japanese, we believe it is our duty to bring English versions of those artworks to the English speaking audience, who would otherwise be unable to enjoy the doujinshi.
We always encourage people, and have done so numerous times, to purchase the doujinshi they read online if they enjoyed it and to support the artist. Our scanlations have brought English speaking fans to the Japanese market. Also, we believe the prohibitory cost of getting doujinshi to America is an undue burden for English speaking fans, not including the cost of translations.
Ultimately, scanlations are transformative works; legally protected under the US law. We alter each page to change the language, adding new value that was not there previously. According to the US copyright law, transformative works are fair use and therefore legal.
